REMOTE LEARNING UPDATE

Dear Parents and Carers,

Our remote learning provision for this term is in line with our Remote Learning Policy. A significant difference is that all lessons will be online from Tuesday 5th January via Google Meet – the links have been shared on your weekly overview and in some cases will be shared via Class Dojo. Please check your emails and Class Dojo regularly as this will be our preferred method of contact.

I want to inform you of the arrangements we have in place to ensure that your child is still effectively being taught at home. We intend to use the following:

  • Google Meet to deliver online lessons
  • A modified timetable which the children are familiar with (children are expected to complete all tasks to a high standard. All completed work needs to be emailed to the Class Teacher or uploaded to Class Dojo)
  • Children will be encouraged to use the Joe Wicks videos for PE lessons (a link will be shared with you on the weekly plan). Children must exercise regularly and get fresh air
  • Homework will be set as usual (children are expected to complete all task. All tasks need to be emailed to the Class Teacher or uploaded to Class Dojo)

Lessons will begin promptly at 9:00am  each day. Please note that we are expecting all pupils to attend every lesson as outlined in your class overviews. Children must be present for the teaching elements at the start of each lesson. Work can then be completed of line if they wish, however, the teacher will present at all times to provide support. Teacher  will not be present during scheduled break and lunch times. A register will be taken during the morning/afternoon, and parents will be contacted if their child is absent, or missing from lesson,  and parents have not informed the school.

Children be expected to demonstrate the school values and follow class rules although they will be working online at all times. Work should be completed to a high standard and uploaded at the end of each school day. Teachers will provide feedback in line with our marking and feedback policy. We are looking forward to celebrating our pupil’s progress and achievements in the coming weeks with you.
