Led by experienced professionals, our Safeguarding Team is committed to upholding the highest standards of child protection and welfare. They undergo specailsed regular training to stay updated on the latest safeguarding practices and legislation, ensuring that our school remains a safe haven for all, this is alongside all our staff having safeguarding training.
Our Safeguarding Team is here to provide support and guidance to both students and their families. Whether it’s addressing concerns, offering advice, or coordinating with external agencies, they are always ready to step in and lend a helping hand.

Families First – A Whole Family Approach

Families First is the term used in Hertfordshire for services that work together to support families who need extra help. These are also known as early help services.
We all experience difficulties at some point. Families First can help you find early help and information to prevent issues from getting worse.

The Department for Education has published a child-friendly version of Working Together to Safeguard Children, including a downloadable booklet and animation to help young people understand safeguarding processes.
The guide, titled A Guide to Safeguarding for Children and Young People, explains how professionals like social workers, teachers, doctors, and police collaborate to keep children safe. It encourages children to speak up and reassures them that help is available.
