1. Admissions & Places
Q: What ages or year groups does Stanborough accept?
We accept children from age 2 (Nursery) up through Year 6 (Key Stage 2 / age 11).
Q: How do I apply for a place?
You may begin by submitting an Admission Enquiry form via our website. After that, our Admissions Team will guide you through the next steps, a personalised school tour, meeting with staff where needed, a taster day, then a formal offer letter.
Q: Is there a deadline or application window?
Not at the moment, currently we can take in year admissions (we have spaces available) – this is dependent on capacity.
Q: What if my child is not admitted in their preferred year (for example, mid-year)?
If there is not a space in the desired year group, your child may be placed on a waiting list. We will notify you if a place becomes available.
Q: Does Stanborough offer nursery or early years funding?
Yes! We provide 15 hours and 30 hours free Nursery places, subject to eligibility, from age 2.

As an independent school, we rely on tuition fees rather than government funding. This allows us to maintain smaller class sizes and enhanced curriculum offerings.

We have an Inclusion and SEND team and policies in place to provide differentiated support. We place value into quality first teaching with personalised learning.
Q: Do you offer enrichment or specialist programmes?
Yes, for example, we run LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) lessons, specialised music lessons and other co-curricular extensions.

Q: What extracurricular activities are available?
We offer a variety of clubs, sports, arts, and enrichment activities examples include: 11+ Prep club, After-School provision, Early morning drop off from 8am, Football, Multi-Sports, Music/Choir, Music lessons and more ending at 4:45pm Monday – Thursday and 2:45pm on a Friday.

Stanborough is a Seventh-Day Adventist Christian school and aims to nurture independent, resilient, lifelong learners. We emphasise values, respect, and academic excellence.

We prioritise wellbeing through pastoral care, dedicated staff, our Wellbeing and Mental Health programmes, and the school dog, Saffy, to support emotional health.

Absolutely. Our Home & School Association (HSA) offers opportunities for families to engage, volunteer, help fundraise, and build community.
5. Daily Life & Logistics
Q: What are the school hours?
Our standard school hours are 8:30am – 3:30pm, Early drop-off from 8 am, After-School Clubs are until 4:45pm Monday – Thursday and 2:45pm on Fridays.
Q: Is before – or after-school care offered?
Yes, we provide wraparound care (before and after school) 8am Early Morning Drop off and After-School clubs/ provision until 4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 2:45pm on a Friday.
Q: What is the dress code or uniform policy?
We have a Uniform page with details of required items, suppliers, and guidelines.
Q: How is school lunch / catering handled?
We offer hot vegetarian school dinners 4 days a week and can cater to Vegan etc.. More details are on our Catering page.
Q: How is the school kept safe?
We maintain strict Safeguarding and Online Safety practises. Our staff are trained and the school premises are secure.

Teachers and staff stay in regular contact via a monthly newsletter, a weekly Headteacher blog, parent meetings, and digital tools such as Class Dojo our parent communication app.
