This week was our special ‘Week of Prayer’ with the topic- Discipleship (Following Jesus).
We welcomed Pastor James Shepley who told us the story of how Jesus made his first followers through theatre.
We also talked about the mark of a true committed disciple.
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. — John 13:35
We had to opportunity to analyse the character of a true disciple of Jesus. We explored the key qualities and discussed how we need to love each other unconditionally.
We also invited pastor Ray who told us what it means to be fishers of men and how we can encourage others to follow Jesus by helping them, sharing the gospel and by showing kindness. We had time to sing songs and pray to God about our character.
On the last day, Pastor Terry Messenger told us about the parable of the pearl of great price. He told us how the kingdom of heaven is the greatest gift God wants to give us because He wants to spend eternity with us.
This week was truly a blessing! Thank you God for giving us this school and so many learning opportunities for us to grow spiritually!
