Match report:

⚽So Stanborough’s first football match v Cherry Tree school.

Cherry Tree started the stronger of the two sides and after taking an early 1-0 lead it could have potentially been a long 40 minutes.

However we showed such resilience and grew into the game, creating a few chances ourselves with a combination of amazing saves from Aaron and some brilliant defending all round kept it at 1-0 up until half time.

Second half saw us venture forward with a lot more confidence and they got their reward with with a solo Timothy strike to make it 1-1. I think they may of heard our cheers from McDonald’s 😂

With only 10 minutes left, Cherry Tree retook the lead after Aaron had made a number of saves to keep us in the game. 2-1.

As we pushed for an equaliser in the late stages, Cherry Tree broke away to score a 3rd.

Final score 3-1 Cherry Tree.

On a final note I’d like to add that they conducted themselves so well and we can take so many positives from this game.

Proud to be their coach today and they should be very proud of themselves 🙌🏻
