Spring 2 Week 6

Dear Parents/Carers,

Last week’s weather was glorious, and the children have enjoyed getting out on the field and doing lots of learning outside. We even had an outdoor assembly, which focused on the youth week of prayer. We talked about the importance of developing our prayer life and listening to God’s voice when he speaks to us during the assembly.

The highlight of my week, hands down, was being able to open the school again to parents and carers. I want to thank the parents and carers who attended last week, and I am looking forward to seeing many more of you this week! Discover and experience for yourself what makes Stanborough Primary a unique place. Please be reminded that the School in Action mornings will take place from today until Wednesday between 9:00am -11:00am. If you would like to book to attend then, don’t hesitate to contact Mrs Warwick.

2 year old provision:

Stanborough  Primary School is looking into the prospect of providing nursery places for 2 year olds from September 2022. So, we can gauge the level of interest in this provision, if you feel that this would be of relevance to you and your family please register your interest with the school office. If you have any questions or enquiries please feel free to speak with Mrs Dean-Roberts (EYFS Lead).

How to talk to your child about the war in Ukraine:

It can be challenging to know what to do or say as a parent in response to the conflict in Ukraine. However, BBC Bitesize has some fantastic resources to help you navigate these conversations and support your child with anxiety around these events.

 Ofsted Parent Meeting – 31st March 2022:

We will be holding a meeting on Thursday 31st March at 7pm in place of our Spring Concert in the School Hall. Please can you send any questions that you would like answered by Friday 25th March so that we can ensure that we include them in our presentation? During the meeting, we will explain further where we were non-compliant, what action we have already taken, and what steps we will be taking in the immediate future to meet the standards and work towards restoring a judgment of ‘Good’ or better.

Additional INSET DAYS – Monday 6th June 2022:

We have arranged an additional INSET day, which will take place after May half-term. Therefore, pupils will not be required to attend school on  Monday 6th June 2022. This will allow school leaders and teachers to meet and undertake essential training, which will continue to strengthen our schools and ultimately enhance the learning experience for all our children.
