Dear Parents/Carers,
This half term is flying by; I can hardly believe there are only two more weeks until we break up for the Easter Holidays. Last week our whole school took part in Science Week. The national theme was ‘Growth’. Pupils had special science-themed assemblies. Throughout the week, children were reminded that we are called to change: to grow and enrich the world around us – to love as Jesus loved. Light also plays an essential role in our school mission – by letting the light of Christ shine through all we do. All classes took part in some exciting experiments designed by The British Science Week Association. The children had a fantastic week thinking and working as scientists. Thank you, teachers, for inspiring our children through your class activities.
On Friday, it was wonderful to see many of the children dressed up as their heroes. I want to thank the school council for organising and running the cake sale to raise additional money for Red Nose Day. As a school we raised £52.65
We are looking forward to seeing you at our school in action morning this week – see below for further information.

Please feel free to donate any unwanted clothes, shoes or textiles which will help raise funds for our school. Please ensure that all items are in a carrier bag/black sack before depositing. Thank you.
2 year old provision:
Stanborough Primary School is looking into the prospect of providing nursery places for 2 year olds from September 2022. So, we can gauge the level of interest in this provision, if you feel that this would be of relevance to you and your family please click register your interest with the school office. If you have any questions or enquiries please feel free to speak with Mrs Dean-Roberts (EYFS Lead).
How to talk to your child about the war in Ukraine:
It can be challenging to know what to do or say as a parent in response to the conflict in Ukraine. However, BBC Bitesize has some fantastic resources to help you navigate these conversations and support your child with anxiety around these events.
