Early years have been on a safari adventure. They listened to some tracks from the ‘Carnival of the Animals’ by Camille Saint-Saëns.Then the children created movements to match the music and the animals.
Our nursery children identified some common safari animals and learned about silhouettes.
We used the tough spot to bath the muddy African animals. We also explored the book ‘Bug’s big trip’. We followed Bug on his journey in the African savanna to have a bath. He hitched a lift with a giraffe, crane, elephant, zebra and lion! The book helped the children to boost their knowledge of positional language and African animals at the same time!
