Children learned all about mini-beasts, where they live, and their special role in British farming.
They learned about four types of insects who all contribute to the workings of farms. Insect expert Sally-Anne Spence introduced worms, dung beetles, pollinators and predatory insects!
There was a practical activity where children learned how to discover mini-beasts in their areas, and examine them with a microscope.
At the end, Sally-Anne answered a lot of interesting questions the children have asked. It was a great experience!
