Dear Parents and Carers,
Despite the occasional downpour last week, we have had another fantastic week of learning and making the most of our beautiful surroundings. It was refreshing to see the children embracing the different activities as part of Mental Health Awareness Week. I enjoyed basking in the short bursts of the sun with the children and telling stories in recognition of Wellness Wednesday. Last week I spent time reviewing pupil’s books and talking to them about History and Geography, which is a priority area of our school development plan. I was pleased with our pupil’s progress across the school, and their feedback was encouraging.
This week, we will be focusing on celebrating our pupil’s many gifts and talents through our annual talent show, scheduled to occur on Tuesday 18th May. I want to encourage pupils to let their teacher know should they wish to perform. We will also be celebrating National Numeracy Day on Wednesday 19th May. Keep an eye on your son or daughter’s class blog to see what they have been learning and getting involved in.

Keeping Our Community Safe:
It has been a great relief to many to see the rules around Covid gradually relaxing. Please remember, though, that the rules for school and self-isolation have not changed. If your child, or anyone else in your household, experiences any of the three main symptoms of:
– persistent cough,
– temperature of 37.8 degrees Celsius or higher
– loss of taste or smell you should begin self-isolation and book a Covid test.
SHOULD YOUR CHILD DEVELOP ANY OF THE SYMPTOMS ABOVE, PLEASE INFORM THE SCHOOL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE (VIA EMAIL) TO ENSURE THAT THE SCHOOL CAN TAKE THE NECCESARY PRECAUTIONS IN-LINE WITH OUR RISK ASSESSMENT AND GUIDANCE FROM OUR LOCAL HEALTH PROTECTION TEAM. PLEASE SEND THE EMAIL TO EITHER head@stanboroughprimary.org.ukor info@stanboroughprimary.org.uk
