Distance and Sound

Investigating how distance affects sound We conducted a fair test to see if volume is affected by how far/close we are to the source of sound. we found out that, the closer we are to the sound source, the louder the volume. The further away we are from the sound source, the quieter the volume.
This is because sound waves loose energy the further they travel from the sound source the vibrations get smaller and eventually get so small that they don’t produce any sound at all.
