Built on the site of one of the largest Roman cities in Britain, Verulamium Museum is filled with ancient treasures and some of the finest mosaics outside of the Mediterranean.
Years 3 & 4 visited the museum, explored the city wall and London Gate remains and the hypocaust as part of their learning on Roman Britain.
They also took part in an interactive workshop where they dressed up as the Romans of Verulamium, and went round the market, finding the Roman objects on their shopping lists. Pupils handled replica items that reflect the artefacts discovered during excavations at Verulamium.
