This week the outdoor learning has been focussed on wellbeing and exploring what mental health is and why it is important. We learnt that our mental health is how we think, feel and behave.
Year 1 and 2 had a strong case for proving that McDonald’s is good for their mental health. I’m undecided on this!
With Year 6, we found time to talk about Lewis Hamilton and what he accomplished this last weekend and how we can use his story to inspire us.
Year 5 looked for unusual and awesome Autumn changes around the park and then made some observational drawings.
The Early Years had races to the different trees they could name and we found the peace garden, where we thought we found a snake but it was only a garden hose.
As a whole school, we have realised how important being out in nature is good for our wellbeing, exploring, investigating and just being in nature made us feel connected not only with each other but with understanding ourselves and being thankful to a creator for all He has blessed us with. I can’t wait for next week!!
