Dear Parents and Carers,
I do hope everyone had an enjoyable Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday Weekend and half-term break. Today, all staff will be involved in some exceptional training led by Chris Quigley, a nationally renowned author and trainer on all aspects of education. Over the day, Chris will guide the staff through some of the most critical findings from Cognitive Scientists and how we can apply their findings to make learning stick for our children.
On Wednesday, Lorraine McDonald (BUC Education Director) and James Roach (CEO of the Multi Inclusive Academy Trust), will be in school conducting Deep Dives with Subject Leaders in Maths and Reading. We will, of course, give feedback on the outcome next week as we work together to drive school improvement.
We have a hectic six weeks ahead of us, so please keep an eye on Class Dojo and Headteacher Blogs for upcoming events and announcements.

Attendance W/C 23rd May 2022:
Each school in the local authority has an attendance target that is set for them. This year our school attendance target is 97%. Of course, we do not expect children who are unwell to come into school. They need to stay at home and rest to get well. They also need to stay at home, so they don’t pass on illness to others.

HCL School Lunches Summer Term 2022 (2nd half):
Please see the attached Vegetarian lunch Menu from HCL. School lunches for Summer Term (2nd half) will be £70.20 this excludes Sports day as your child would need a packed lunch that day. This week, we are on WEEK 1 of the menu.
NB Due to the upcoming residential trip, the total amount for Year 5 & 6 pupils would be £62.40.
Please ensure school lunches are paid for in advance. Thank you.
Fundraising Clothes Bank:
Please feel free to donate any unwanted clothes, shoes or textiles which will help raise funds for our school. Please ensure that all items are in a carrier bag/black sack before depositing. Thank you.
2-year-old provision:
Stanborough Primary School is looking into the prospect of providing nursery places for 2-year-olds from September 2022. So we can gauge the level of interest in this provision, if you feel that this would be of relevance to you and your family, please register your interest with the school office. If you have any questions or enquiries, please feel free to speak with Mrs Dean-Roberts (EYFS Lead).
