Yesterday pupils from the Primary school attended Stanborough Church Peace Garden (organised by One Vision) to mark Remembrance Day. We were very proud to lay wreaths made by the pupils at the centre of the Peace Garden.
A small service was held with many communities to honour the lives of all those who have sacrificed their own. The Lord Lieutenant, MP, the Mayor, along with Royal British Legion Veterans’ Chair- Liz Burns and representatives from many faiths also attended. The event was also reported on by the local newspaper – https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/news/18870297.luther-blissett-attends-service-watford-armistice-day/
It was lovely to see so many people from different areas of the community and backgrounds leaving differences behind them and coming together to commemorate the selfless actions of those who have died in all wars.
