Today we learnt about plants growing in the different habitats in the school grounds. We found out that it’s the small hook like hairs on the stems of Goosegrass that make the plant stick to us. We tested it to see if it would stick to paper and it didn’t. The hairs are only ‘sticky’ when touched in one direction and only on the underside of the leaf. They certainly stuck to our clothes very well!
