Autumn 1 Week 1

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to the first newsletter of the year. We have had a fantastic start to the new school year; seeing how our children have settled back into school life so happily has been incredible. They have returned to school with fresh zest and a love for learning!

The first week at school has been about reconnecting with our children and revisiting our expectations for learning and behaviour within our school community. I would also like to thank all the parents and carers who could attend our face-to-face parent meeting on Thursday, 9th of September. If you have any questions, please email head@stanboroughprimary.org.uk or you can arrange a time to see me via the school office.

DfE Guidance – Queen Elizabeth II:

Following the announcement from Buckingham Palace of the death of our sovereign, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, a period of National Mourning has started and will continue until the end of the State Funeral. This is a period of time for reflection in response to the death of the Sovereign. Our children have been reminded that they can talk to their class teachers, Pastor Ray or myself if they have any concerns. The official date of the State Funeral is Monday, 19th September 2022. This day will be a bank holiday and schools will be closed as a mark of respect.

Finally, let us remember, ‘For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be’. Psalm 139:13-16

Love and Blessings,

Mrs Madden
