Author Visit
Isabel Thomas a prolific non-fiction writer who has written over 150 books, including the fact books that are stories too, visited our school yesterday.
Year 1 attended a workshop where Isabel read her book, Moth. An Evolution Adaptation Story which won the AAAS Subaru SB&F Prize for Excellence in Science Books 2020.
They also researched and explored the lifecycle of a moth, being able to observe real caterpillars and cocoons. In a fun way, the learned the differences between a butterfly and a moth, and created a moth model.
It was a fabulous experience!
