Whole School Maths Week – Lego Workshop

On Thursday 6th February, Brickies Club visited our school and delivered a hands-on maths workshop across all year groups using Lego.

For Early Years the focus of the workshop was around geometry and basic measurements. Children took part in a fun engaging building challenge that tied in top level learning objectives on shapes and numbers. 

Year 1 and Year 2 focused on symmetry – where children had to complete a building challenge to defeat a Maths Master.

Year 3 – Year 6’s workshop was based around financial literacy. The children were tasked with a building project and had to keep within budget.
