Wellbeing @ Stanborough Primary School

We are proud to announce the launch of Adventurers and Pathfinders here at our school. Pastor Johns introduced us to the programme during our assembly on Monday. Children (from Nursery through to Year 6)as well as teachers are excited to embark on this journey!

Achieving the honours will take place over the school day within the lessons we are learning with a focussed session on Wellness Wednesdays. This is special programme not only goes hand in hand with our learning opportunities and experiences but keeps the children at the centre with a focus on our Creator.

“Pathfinders and Adventurers is a worldwide organisation sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It is designed for children aged 3 – 15 years. The objectives of Pathfinders and Adventurers is to teach children life skills and help them build a relationship with God and this club accepts all children who promise to abide by their Pledge and Law (see below).

The Pathfinder or/and Adventurer Club is run by volunteers who have a wide range of skills, abilities and interests. Usually, they are former Pathfinders themselves and now dedicated to passing on the skills they have learnt to the next generation of young people.

The Pathfinder and Adventurer programme encourages a wide range of activities from community outreach projects to attending international camps across the world. The Pathfinder and Adventurer programme has curriculums levels, which are age-specific and designed to challenge children, including over 300 specialised, skill-development badges, involving household arts, outdoor industries, community work, health, science, arts and crafts, nature, recreation and vocational development.”  https://sec.adventist.uk/departments/pathfinders-and-adventurers/
