The residential bonfire and scavenger hunt

By Tarun (y6 pupil)

The Year 5 and 6 children have savored this day more than ever. They have been taught archery, zip-lining and how to build a den. But most of all, they enjoyed the bonfire snacks and the scavenger hunt.

The instructors were Nicola and Shaz; They were our teachers and they taught us how to create a fire. All of them enjoyed roasting marshmallows on the fire and eating their pre-prepared snacks.

The next best event was the scavenger hunt. Our participants were:

  • Joel,
  • Tarun,
  • Kiera,
  • Ruby
  • Oluatoni,
  • Jasmine,
  • Thespina
  • Reevka

The participants worked in randomly-picked pairs and the first team to arrive with all the needed objects won a prize. During the long search, Tarun and Joel came back with all the things first ,so the claim of the popcorn ( the prize ) was claimed.

We have settled in very well since the arrival and I assure you that we are having a wonderful time!
