This afternoon, Year 6 have been super busy in the kitchen. As part of their Design and Technology (D&T) unit on ‘Seasonal Foods’, they have cooked food using seasonal ingredients after several weeks of creating, adapting and fine-tuning their recipes.
The icing-on-the-cake was to not only have the opportunity to taste their creations but being able to share it with their family members (for those who were unable to come, we made sure to send home a sample of their hard work)!
On the menu – Garden salad, Spanish omelette, potato hash, pizza topped with seasonal veg, veggie pasta, stuffed peppers, pancakes with a lemon and lime syrup and vegan lemon cake!
