8th July 2010

Dear Parents/Carers

As you know, our School Fete will be on Sunday 11th July 11am – 4pm. We do hope that many of you have been able to offer some of your time and skills to the H S A and we hope that everyone will be able to attend and support the H S A and the School in this last fund-raising event of the year. It promises to be a good day and I know that the children will enjoy themselves. So do plan to attend and bring your friends and family along with you.

Please be reminded that profits will go towards the purchasing of a better P.A. system, to enhance our performances.

Year Six Model-Making
The Year Six children will be making models on Monday and we would appreciate any 1 litre plastic bottles, newspapers and cardboard boxes you may have.

Uniforms
If you have any unwanted uniform items, please let the H S A have them, as they would like to run a second-hand uniform stall at the Summer Fete.

Sainsbury’s Vouchers
Some vouchers are still being handed in to the office, so we are providing an extended opportunity for anyone who still has vouchers, to bring them in by the end of term. Thank you.

Clubs
Please note that with the exception of Sports Club and the After-School Club, all clubs have ended this week.

Peace Garden
The official Opening will be on Sunday 11th July, 1pm at the School Fete. Please plan to congregate in the area at that time, for a brief ceremony and photographs.

Carrier Bags
Your children will have many books to take home at the end of the school year and we would ask parents to kindly send in one large or several smaller carrier bags for the work to be distributed. Thank you.

Swimathon
The Swimathon will take place on Friday 9th July. This is an informal event and the emphasis will be on enjoyment. It will take place during the normal Friday swimming time.

Annual Parental Questionnaire
Please take a moment to fill in the questionnaire distributed last week and return it to the Office by Thursday 14th July 2010. We value your response and will take into consideration parents, pupils and teachers feedback, when developing the vision for the next school year. This will be shared with parents at the Introduction Evening on Thursday 2nd of September 2010.

Unused CDs
If you have any unused CDs please hand them into the office, as the Nursery would like to use them for a display.

End of Year Assembly
Our final awards assembly will take place on Thursday 15th July at 10.30am. All parents are invited to attend and this will also be the time when we say our formal goodbyes to the Year Six pupils. The Year Six Pupils and parents are invited to stay on after the assembly, which will conclude by 12noon, for a Prom Lunch.

Regards and blessings
